When Chelsey moved to Arizona her junior year of high school is when Josh and Chelsey met. They didn't become friends until senior year when Josh used to ditch his shop class (shh. don't tell Mima) to hang out in lifetime sports (the class Chelsey had). Josh moved to San Diego just after high school graduation but would come visit Arizona pretty often and it was always a fun time. For New Years 2007 Chelsey and Josh both found themselves at the Dunes, all the while still just friends. Chelsey at the time was still living in Arizona and attending ASU. When ASU didn't feel right, she found herself back in Orange County to go to OCC. The very first weekend Chelsey moved back to California (February), Josh came up and took her to Disneyland. Adorable, right?! Chelsey, who wasn't the least bit ready for a relationship,just wanted to be friends. Well, their friendship grew and they became best friends. Months later, on July 27,2007 at 7am they were in a terrible accident with a huge semi truck who hit them from behind. The boys were left without a scratch (Josh and Kyle) but the girls weren't so lucky (Chelsey and Sam)...While lying on the hospital bed, Josh held Chelsey's hand and whispered in her ear "I love you". That's when she knew they could never be apart. A bit dramatic, but hey that's what happened! So once she was all better, they started "dating". Josh officially asked her to be his girlfriend on Sept 16, 2007.
So that's our story! Josh is my best friend and I'm so lucky to marry such a great guy.
We got engaged on July 3, 2009 in beautiful South Lake Tahoe aboard the Tahoe Queen. Josh proposed as we were entering Emerald Bay! So timely enough, the wedding date we have chosen is July 3, 2010. We absolutely cannot wait! Hope you enjoy our updates. <3
